All WK Oil Through Tender Offer

Jakarta, Director General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Oil and Gas, Evita H. Legowo asserted, all oil and gas working areas offered through regular tenders ie tenders and joint studies or direct proposal.

"Direct proposal also through tenders. After the (complete) joint study, continue tendered, "said Evita before the House of Representatives Commission VII, last week.

Nevertheless, continued Evita, KKKS conducting a joint study, have the right to right to match, if the request for proposals offering less than other bidders.

"If he loses, he replied it could not (offer higher)," he said.

Regarding the bidding round of oil and gas working areas I in 2010, Evita said, so far the results are good. In the first round of this year, the government offered 18 oil and gas working areas. Consists of 12 work areas offered through regular tenders and six working areas through direct bidding.

WK oil offered through regular tender are:

1. Sokang Block (East Natuna-offshore)
2. Block Singkil (Sibolga-offshore)
3. Block Nias (Sibolga-offshore)
4. Block II of the Sunda Strait (Java-offshore South)
5. Block Sunda Strait III (South-offshore Java)
6. Sunda Strait Block IV (Bengkulu-offshore)
7. Kangean South Block I (North-offshore East Java)
8. Kangean South Block II (North-offshore East Java)
9. SW Block Makassar (Spermode-offshore)
10. Block Wokam I (Bintuni-Trench Aru-offshore)
11. Wokam Block II (ARU-Trench offshore)
12. Block Digul (Akimeugah-onshore)

WK gas supplied through a direct proposal are:

1. Sokang North Block (East Natuna-offshore)
2. NW Natuna Block (East Natuna-offshore)
3. Block Titan (Pati North Sea offshore East Java)
4. Block Bone (Bone-offshore)
5. Block Onin (Bintuni-Misool-on/offshore)
6. Arafura North Block (Akimeugah-on/offshore)
